When Tree Work Turns into Animal Rescue
In April this year, I was called out late one evening to help with a rather unusual job – rescuing a cat that had been stuck for quite some time high up in a tree. Other tree surgeons and even the fire service had tried to rescue her, but the frightened feline kept climbing higher and higher up into the tree, trying to get away from would-be rescuers. By the time I arrived, it was already dark, but with a careful and steady climb, I was able to quickly reach the cat, bringing it safely down and out of the tree. It was a relief to see it back to safety, and heart-warming to witness the kind messages and support shared afterwards by people who had been watching and following the story on Facebook.
